Update on FFFN Veggies from Sunwarm

This just in from Ellen Beberman:

Dear members,
I am sorry, but I will not be able to deliver the veggies that you ordered this month. The hard frost last night damaged the greens and herbs, and my carrot supply was (unbeknownst to me) greatly diminished by the appetites of my spouse and his coworkers. I apologize. I am hoping to increase my production of greens and veggies for next spring.
Happy winter!

Fresh Turkeys from Harmony Hills

Michelle asked that I forward this to all of you. If you’d like to take advantage of her offer, please contact her directly. Thanks a million.

I wanted you to know that we have some spots available for FRESH Thanksgiving turkeys. Below is a little more information about how we raise the turkeys.

Here at Harmony Hills Farmstead, we raise pastured turkey. Our turkeys are not given antibiotics or growth hormones as they are naturally healthier and disease-free living on our chemical-free pasture instead of being condemned to the usual poultry confinement housing. Because our turkeys have constant access to the outdoors and their traditional diet of greens and insects, they are higher in essential omega-3 fatty acids and lower in saturated fat. Turkeys are delivered FRESH they are never frozen and are prepared just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday. We process them on the Monday before Thanksgiving and are available for pick up at Harmony Hills Farmstead; Saranac Lake (Nori’s Parking Lot); Lake Placid; or Keene Valley at Rivermede Farm Market on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Our size range this year will be 18-22 pounds; however, we will have smaller ones and larger ones. Our price this year is $3.99/pound, we accept cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover cards as well. So please let us know what your preference is and we will do our best to align the closest size to your needs.

Please call or email us for more information and/or questions that you may have.
